Prosthodontics is the business of replacing and restoring teeth that are missing, broken, worn, or failing — and of deciding, with the patient, how much intervention a given mouth actually warrants.

Clinical focus

My work falls into three overlapping areas. Fixed prosthodontics — crowns, bridges, veneers, and full-mouth rehabilitation. Removable prosthodontics — complete and partial dentures, and implant-retained overdentures. And implant dentistry, from single-tooth replacement through to full-arch restoration.

I completed implant training in 2015, early in my career and before fellowship, and it has shaped how I approach restorative planning since: the question is rarely which procedure is most advanced, but which one a particular patient can maintain over twenty years.

Teaching

I have taught prosthodontics at Azra Naheed Dental College since 2021. In 2024 I completed a Certificate in Health Professions Education at Superior University, on the premise that teaching well is a separate skill from practising well and deserves to be learned properly rather than improvised.

My interest is the gap final-year students fall into between knowing a procedure and being able to perform it — the point where theory stops helping and supervised repetition takes over.

Research interests

Digital and conventional workflows in removable prosthodontics, and how undergraduate dental students acquire clinical skill. My published work is co-authored and listed on Google Scholar.
